The affiliate agreement compliance checklist

Ten checks that turn the clauses in your affiliate agreements into something you can verify every month.

An affiliate agreement only protects you if someone checks it. Most iGaming agreements share the same core clauses. This checklist turns them into checks you can run every month, and tells you what evidence to keep when a partner breaks one.

1. Put the terms in one place

For each partner, list the approved markets, brands, offers and channels. If this lives in ten PDFs, nobody will check against it. One table per partner is enough.

2. Markets

Is every page that promotes you aimed at a market the partner is approved for? Check the language, the currency and the licence shown, not where the domain is registered.

3. Offers

Does every bonus on the page match your current terms, word for word? Outdated offers are the most common breach, and the easiest for a regulator to spot.

4. Required messages

Are the age limit, safer gambling message and significant terms shown where the regulator in that market needs them? Rules differ by market, so check each page against the rules of the market it targets.

5. Banned claims

No "risk free", no guaranteed wins, no suggestion that gambling solves money problems, and no content that appeals to minors.

6. Channels

Is the partner promoting only where the agreement allows? Many agreements cover a website but say nothing about Telegram, TikTok, YouTube or email.

7. Brand bidding

Is the partner bidding on your brand name, or close variants of it, in paid search? Check from each market you operate in.

8. Evidence

For every breach, keep a dated screenshot, the URL, the market it was seen from and the clause it breaks. Without this you cannot withhold commission or terminate without a dispute, and you cannot show a regulator you were monitoring.

9. Response

Agree a standard path: notice, a deadline to fix, withheld commission, then termination. Apply it the same way to every partner.

10. How often

Monthly checks by hand work for a few partners in one market. Above that, the channel changes faster than a person can check it.
